Who handles your information

Paw Haven is the store responsible for the customer information collected through this website. For privacy enquiries or rights requests, contact pawhaven.suport@gmail.com. Stripe also processes payment information under its own privacy policy and legal obligations.

Information collected

Checkout collects your name, email address, telephone number and delivery address, together with your product selection, quantity, delivery option and payment total. Payment references and status are used to check whether a payment succeeded.

Your card details are entered in Stripe-hosted fields. The store does not receive your full card number or security code through those fields. Technical information such as IP address and device or browser information may also be processed by hosting and payment services to deliver the service and prevent abuse.

Purposes and legal bases

Contact, address and order information is used to take steps at your request before a purchase and perform the purchase contract, including payment and delivery. Necessary transaction records may be processed to meet legal obligations. Security, payment verification and fraud prevention support legitimate interests in protecting customers and the store, subject to your rights.

The checkout requires contact and delivery details to process a purchase; address line 2 is optional. Without required information, the checkout cannot proceed. No marketing consent is requested by this checkout.

Who receives information

Stripe receives customer, delivery and payment-related information to process and verify payments. Hosting infrastructure processes information needed to operate the website. Information needed to fulfil an order may be provided to the delivery service, and records may be disclosed where required by law.

Read Stripe’s privacy policy for its processing, retention and international-transfer arrangements.

Cookies and browser storage

Your product colour and quantity are stored in session storage under “pawhaven-selection”. This supports your shopping session and is cleared when the browser session ends. The browser may also retain an older shopping bag under “ap-cart”; you can remove it through your browser settings.

Essential payment cookies named “paw-payment-attempt” and “paw-payment-intent” expire after one hour and bind a payment attempt to your browser for verification. Stripe may use its own cookies or device information for payment security and fraud prevention. The current storefront does not include an advertising-pixel or analytics integration.

Retention and international processing

Delivery form values are held in the checkout while you use it; submitting payment sends relevant details to Stripe. Closing the checkout does not erase information already sent to the payment provider.

Transaction and enquiry records are retained only as needed for the purchase, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention and applicable legal or accounting requirements. Exact retention depends on the record and legal requirement; contact us for information about a specific record.

Hosting and payment providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, international processing must use applicable safeguards, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections. Contact us for details of the safeguards relevant to your information.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing. These rights are subject to legal exceptions; we may need to verify your identity.

Email pawhaven.suport@gmail.com to make a request. Requests normally receive a response within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Payment decisions and updates

Stripe and card issuers may apply automated fraud checks or decline a payment. Contact us about a payment problem, and consult Stripe’s policy for its automated processing. We may update this notice when the store’s processing changes; the revision date is shown above.
